Das Paradies

A five-star family and spa hotel in the Vinschgau, family-run in the third generation since 1974 — and a member of the Belvita Leading Wellnesshotels. The house carries its dual identity unusually consistently: a Family Spa of its own in which children may be children, and the “Silence Spa Garden” for adults from 16 — both part of the same 3,700 m² wellness landscape. Run until 2024 as the “Hotel Paradies”, today simply “Das Paradies”.

Das Paradies: greetings from the front desk

Das Paradies lies in Latsch, in the middle of the Vinschgau and in the middle of apple orchards — on the sun-blessed southern slope of the South Tyrolean high valley. Building began in 1974 as a small family house; today, in the third generation, it has grown into a five-star family and spa hotel that cultivates a dual identity rare in this category: while large families romp in their own Family Spa and sit in the textile family bio sauna, couples and solo travellers find in the “Silence Spa Garden” — adults only from 16 — the calm of a monastic enclosure with a brine pool, a panorama sauna and a herbal steam bath. Both are part of the same 3,700 m² wellness landscape. The house is a member of the Belvita Leading Wellnesshotels.

Since the rebranding of 2024/25 the old domain hotelparadies.com redirects permanently to dasparadies.com; the “Hotel Paradies” became “Das Paradies”, and the four-star superior became a clear five-star appearance. What has remained is the family as host — and the Vinschgau geography as the accompanying backdrop.

Paradies Spa — 3,700 m² between mountains and apple orchards

The wellness landscape extends over 3,700 m² and divides structurally into three worlds: the large pool and sauna area for all guests, the adults-only “Silence Spa Garden” and the separate Family Spa. Indoor and outdoor pools heated all year are connected by a swim-through channel — whoever starts inside swims into the open without leaving the pool. On the extensive sun terrace and in the rest rooms every guest finds their own rhythm.

Silence Spa Garden — adults only from 16 years

A quiet zone of its own for guests from 16: a panorama sauna with a view of the Vinschgau mountain world, a brine pool for weightless floating, a bio sauna and a herbal steam bath. Exclusive lounging areas in the green round off the area. In the textile-free zones of the sauna you relax traditionally without swimwear; in the rest rooms and on the sun terraces the house recommends a bathrobe.

Family Spa — where children may be children

The separate Family Spa is the answer to the usual wellness etiquette: here no one has to be quiet. A 34 °C baby pool, a slide, a textile family bio sauna for shared sauna experiences and family-friendly rest zones for reading breaks. The spatial separation from the adults-only zone is part of the house concept, not a compromise.

LaVita Spa — treatments with Team Dr Joseph and Maria Galland

In the LaVita Spa experienced therapists curate the treatment menu with the high-quality care products of Team Dr Joseph (South Tyrol, a science-based line) and Maria Galland (Paris). Classic and deep-acting massages, body treatments, beauty rituals and facial treatments — advance booking is recommended, ideally before arrival. Direct bookers receive a 5 % discount on treatments if they reserve them in advance.

Yoga, mental health and fitness

Daily yoga in vinyasa, hatha and yin — on an outdoor platform under the open sky or in the studio. Sound-healing sessions with singing bowls complement the mental-health offering. The light-flooded fitness room is equipped with modern cardio and strength machines; the daily activity programme reaches from Pilates and back fitness to fascia training and qigong.

Cuisine — fine dining, soft all inclusive and the Sunset Bar

The kitchen interprets alpine authenticity in a modern way — South Tyrolean-Mediterranean, with a classic fine-dining line in the evening, a family culinary concept of its own for children, a “soft all inclusive” model with all-day refreshments and afternoon snacks as well as the Sunset Bar for the blue hour. Room categories range from the classic room via the deluxe line to six suite variants (Family Deluxe Mountain View / Poolside, Family Studio, Family Suite Classic, Family Superior Suite, Giardino Suite).

Latsch in the Vinschgau — a sun-blessed South Tyrolean high valley

Latsch (BZ) lies in the Vinschgau, the western South Tyrolean high valley — on the sunny side between the Ortler group and the Texel group. The valley is famous for its apple orchards, an exceptionally dry climate and extensive hiking and biking routes. The Vinschgau high-altitude trail, the Waalwege irrigation paths and the Reschensee with its submerged tower are within reach; the VinschgauCard for train, bus and mountain lifts is included in the hotel price.

Frequently asked questions about the hotel

Rebrand 2024/25 — from “Hotel Paradies” to “Das Paradies”

In the course of a comprehensive repositioning and modernisation process the brand was sharpened in 2024/25: the four-star superior “Hotel Paradies” became the five-star “Das Paradies”, and the old domain hotelparadies.com redirects permanently to dasparadies.com. What has remained is the family as host, the address and the telephone number; the email address info@hotelparadies.com has remained too.

Family history — since 1974, third generation

In 1974 the house began as a small family business in the middle of the Vinschgau orchards. Over five decades it has grown into a five-star spa hotel run today in the third generation. The house cultivates South Tyrolean hospitality as its brand core and combines it with modern alpine design.

Day spa — wellness without an overnight stay

Day guests are welcome too: the day-spa package comprises access to all wellness areas — including the Silence Spa Garden, pools, saunas and rest rooms — from 10:00 to 19:00. Price: € 115 per person; with a gourmet breakfast (7:30–11:00) € 135 per person. Massages and treatments can be booked for a surcharge.

Direct-booker benefit — 5 % spa discount on advance reservation

Whoever books directly with the hotel and reserves massages or treatments before arrival receives a 5 % discount on all spa treatments. A pragmatic loyalty mechanism without a membership programme.

Belvita Leading Wellnesshotels

Das Paradies is a member of the Belvita Leading Wellnesshotels — a cooperation of hand-picked South Tyrolean and Trentino houses with defined spa and service standards. The membership also opens the door to combined hotel-hopping experiences within the group.
