New Year's Eve package

New Year's Eve is the most unwieldy trip of the year: you want to get away, but not into a big city; you want a programme, but not the pressure of possibly missing something; you want a late evening, but no sober drive home. The package at the Hotel Oswald solves that through scale: five or seven nights between Christmas and early January, with a structured New Year's Eve (a reception, an eight-course menu, a live band, an oyster bar) and a New Year's morning whose breakfast stays open until noon — the one day of the year when hotel breakfasts really should.

The house is a family-run four-star-superior house, a member of Relais & Châteaux, in Kaikenried on the Bavarian Forest Nature Park. During the day around 4,000 m² of spa area is open — a rooftop pool at 32 °C, an aroma steam bath, a Finnish sauna, a wellness garden under snow. The package counts the Oswald family in personally at the New Year's Eve reception; a quality that has become rare in larger houses and that has its effect precisely on this date.
