Star hiking weeks in the Sauerland

“Sterne im Sauerland” is a cooperation of selected Sauerland hotels that organise star hiking weeks together every year — five guided hikes per week, each with a lunch stop and a closing drink, organised transfers and a bed at the Waldhaus Ohlenbach as the home port. The four-star house on the Schmallenberg heights is a member of the group.

Seven nights with breakfast and a Waldhaus dinner menu à la carte; all five hiking days are fully looked after, including a lunch stop on the way, a shared closing drink and the transfer logistics. The Schmallenberg SauerlandCard opens admissions and local transport. The star hiking weeks take place annually in two windows — in May and in late summer; the next bookable date is 2 to 9 August 2026.
