Hotel Krallerhof: greetings from the front desk
Harmoniously set into the surrounding nature, the Hotel Krallerhof presents itself on a sunny high plateau in Leogang in the Salzburg region. In the same family (Altenberger) since 1956, today a five-star house with 124 artistically designed rooms and suites, a patisserie of its own, a restaurant with seasonal-regional emphases and a wellness programme that has developed consistently towards longevity in recent years: the ATMOSPHERE Spa and the Refugium on 2,500 m², a “longevity cuisine” line and programmes around cell health, biohacking and regeneration. In winter in the middle of the Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn; in summer hiking, mountain biking and golf.
ATMOSPHERE Spa and Refugium
The Krallerhof runs two spa worlds: the ATMOSPHERE Spa by Krallerhof as the main central spa with pool, saunas and treatment rooms, and the Refugium as a quieter second spa stage with a sauna and rest world of its own. The spa infrastructure recently also includes a medical-beauty line and a treatment area with day-spa options.
Regeneration & longevity by Krallerhof
In recent years the Krallerhof has positioned itself as one of the leading longevity addresses in the Alpine region: biohacking retreats, a Women of Longevity retreat, a longevity cuisine line, IHHT oxygen training, cryotherapy, red/near-infrared light and wingwave® coaching are part of the programme. A Krallerhof podcast of its own and a longevity blog flank the communication.
Cuisine — the Krallerhof line
The “Krallerhof cuisine” carries the day: breakfast until 11:30 (one of the rare late-riser options among the five-star houses), snack time in the afternoon, a five-course evening dinner. A patisserie of its own. Seasonal and regional in orientation, complemented by a “longevity cuisine” as the health-oriented variant.
124 artistically designed rooms and suites
124 rooms and suites in different categories — from double rooms (the Fürstenhof category among others) to larger suites with a view of the ski area or the Salzburg Alps. The design concept brings art and natural materials together.
Winter and summer
In winter in the middle of the Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn (around 270 km of pistes, one of the largest ski networks in Austria). In summer a hiking paradise, mountain-bike trails and golf — active holidays with the spa as home port.
Location in Leogang
Leogang lies in the Salzburg region, at the transition from the Pinzgau to the Pongau, around 80 minutes' drive from the city of Salzburg. The hotel sits on the sunny “Rain” high plateau above the village — the address Rain 6 refers to this position.

Frequently asked questions about the hotel
ATMOSPHERE Spa and Refugium — what is the difference?
The Krallerhof runs two spa worlds on 2,500 m² together: the ATMOSPHERE Spa by Krallerhof is the big stage — pool, saunas, treatment rooms, plus a medical-beauty line and day-spa options. The Refugium is the quieter counterpole: a sauna and rest world of its own for everyone who seeks above all stillness on holiday.
Whoever uses both has, in effect, two spa holidays in one house.
What does longevity mean concretely at the Krallerhof?
More than a buzzword: in recent years the Krallerhof has developed into one of the leading longevity addresses in the Alpine region — with biohacking retreats, a Women of Longevity retreat, IHHT oxygen training, cryotherapy, red and near-infrared light treatments and wingwave® coaching.
It is accompanied by a “longevity cuisine” line of its own — cell health begins on the plate here, not only in the treatment room.
How long is breakfast served?
Until 11:30 — one of the rare real late-riser options among the five-star houses, and on holiday a greater gift than it sounds. Afterwards the Krallerhof cuisine carries on: snack time in the afternoon, a five-course evening dinner, and in between the house's own patisserie.
How is the location for winter and summer holidays?
In winter the house lies in the middle of the Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn — around 270 km of pistes, one of the largest ski networks in Austria. In summer hiking trails, mountain-bike trails and golf take over.
The hotel itself sits on the sunny “Rain” high plateau above Leogang; the city of Salzburg is around 80 minutes' drive away.
Who is behind the Krallerhof?
The Altenberger family — since 1956, by now over generations. The family business has become a five-star-superior house with 124 artistically designed rooms and suites, whose design concept brings art and natural materials together — grown, not bought in.
Which occasion does the Krallerhof suit?
The big ones: the interplay of two spa worlds, a patisserie, five-course evenings and an Alpine panorama makes the house the classic address for milestone birthdays, anniversaries and the one wellness weekend a year that really has to land. Active holidaymakers build in ski or mountain days — the spa remains the home port.
